I believe in individuality, that we are all created uniquely beautiful. I also believe that makeup is a great invention to enhance our beauty.
In today's age of countless blogs & youtube videos, becoming an expert at applying your own makeup has become much easier! I think that every girl knows her skin, preferences & features best. So read up & learn all there is to it & practice your makeup skills till you get it right. Also, do plenty of research before you invest in products, in order to avoid wasting money on impulse buys that won't suit you. Also, testing products and colors before purchase is SO important!
I started practicing my makeup skills when I turned 19 with drugstore brands like maybelline. Then I came across NYX Cosmetics ! The brand is now owned by Lo'real but it was founded by Toni Ko whose aim was to create great quality products (comparable to high end brands) but at the price & availability of drugstore brands.
My first Nyx purchases were their Black Label lipstick in Heiress (now discontinued very unfortunately) & their Stay Matte But Not Flat foundation. I have been hooked on this brand since!
When I started giving eyeshadows a try, I was always drawn to soft browns & beiges, & with the current return of all things 90s, the perfect finishing touch for this look were nudish- brown lips ( which I never liked before, accidentally ordered a dark brown pencil, decided to make it work & fell in love with the color! )
