For as long as I can remember, I have been inspired by fashion.
FashionTV was one of my go-to pastimes when I was growing. I'd always watch their shows, mesmerised by the fashion world.
There's one show I remember watching in particular, Armani Couture A/W 20something, as the models glided down the runway, wearing glitzy, elegant gowns which lit up in the spotlight, music by Chopin playing in the background. It was like a fairy tale.
There was a phase when I would literally have visions of dress designs, which I would sketch down on paper. I loved reading designer biographies, learning about their journey and how they came to be fashion legends.
There were Vogue articles, so well-written, they painted a daydream through words and transported you to another world. One article for Vogue Weddings comes to mind now, where a beautiful white lace dress designed by Peter Dundas was described as "timeless & elegant ..." Those words, partly, inspired me in terms of defining my personal style.
Every aspect of fashion has always felt like a major part of my life. For the longest time, I couldn't figure out how to pursue my calling. It's taken me two years to finally start & I've realized that a style blog would be the perfect platform for me as a creative outlet. The fashion industry is currently revolutionising & I really want to be a part of that!
