I recently attended the Karl Lagerfeld store opening in Mall of Arabia. It was my first fashion event as a blogger and I was SO excited! In all my excitement, I may have even trolled a bunch of posts on instagram leading up to the event. #NotAStalker #JustAFashionGirl
With a photo booth by Noha_Photography & hosted by Ghalia Mahmoudi of VogueOverdosed, who btw is just as gorgeous and full of good energy as you see on her snapchat, The event was everything I imagined and more!
There was also was a henna tattoo station by the HennaJeddah girls. They told me that they were the first to bring white henna to Jeddah. I personally don't like henna but the white henna was quite impressive. You can scrub it off when it dries and it doesn't leave behind any color or smell.
Halfway into the event, the store was buzzing with so many stylish women, there was barely any space to walk. Servers, dressed in black & white with gloves, carried platters of champagne flutes (with juice, obviously). Karl would have approved.
I got to meet some fabulous bloggers who were SO sweet, they made me feel right at home. It was the ultimate fashion playground!
On to Karl, who I admire for all his work. I'm sure you already know that he's the head designer & creative director for Chanel, Fendi & also his brand Karl Lagerfeld. It amazes me how he designs various collections all year round & manages to stay true to each brand's persona, while remaining creative & on trend. I just took a moment to think of all the beautiful creations he has sent down the runway year after year & I'm just at a loss for words. Despite being behind-the-fashion-scenes, he is an icon! ( & workaholic goals! ).
His collections consist of every accessory you can imagine to keep you looking cool & on trend. Watches, bags, keychains, sunglasses, phone covers, even cute hats with cat ears (because, obviously, choupette being his all-time muse), his store has it all!
Scroll down for pictures of some of the things I liked in the store.
